Instructors Kyle Olinger, Sandan Sempai Kyle earned his 3rd Dan from Hanshi Wirth in March of 2003. He has been studying the martial arts since 1978. Sempai Kyle was shot in the line of duty as a police officer while intercepting would be robbers and carjackers in August of 2003. The incident left him paralyzed from the chest down; however, after a lengthy recovery period Sempai Kyle has returned to the dojo and continues to teach and practice aikido from his wheelchair; while relying heavily on his senior students and Sempai to act as his legs. Sempai Kyle attempts to teach the subtlety's of aikido while leaving the physical aspects to his junior Sempai. Dale Lindsay, Shodan Sempai Dale earned his 1st Dan under Hanshi Wirth in February of 2003 and is also a 1st kyu rank in Shotokan Karate. He has a fast paced, hard hitting style of aikido that gives a sense of real world defensive tactics to his students. Chris Wolbert, Shodan Sempai Chris earned his 1st Dan under Hanshi Wirth in February of 2003. Sempai Chris has a dynamic style of aikido with a good mix of skills that emphasize relaxed and flowing techniques. Jim Gilsinn, Shodan Sempai Jim earned his 1st Dan under Hanshi Wirth in August of 2003. Sempai Jim started his aikido studies with Ki Society Aikido. He has a strong sense of the technical side of aikido with a good balance of the subtle intricacies of the art which give his students a sense of correct power. Heather Lindsay, Shodan Sempai Heather earned her 1st Dan under Hanshi Wirth in August of 2003. Sempai Heather has a very dynamic style of aikido with strong leading skills and relaxed and flowing application. She brings a deeper outlook to her teaching style with an emphasis on ki development. Charles "Chuck" Spencer, Shodan Sempai Chuck earned his 1st Dan under Hanshi Wirth in May of 2005. He has practiced in the martial arts for over 15 years, including other styles of aikido, aikijutsu, tai-chi and karate. Sempai Chuck has a deceptively humble way of teaching aikido that leaves his students feeling comfortable in his presence and yet the power he generates in technique leaves no doubt as to his abilities. Sempai Chuck has a strong focus on developing the four principles of aikido as taught by Tohei Sensei.
